Wankhede Stadium had witnessed the last match of Sachin Tendulkar’s international cricket career. The stadium, situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra is the ground of numerous high-profile cricket matches till date. It was established in the year 1974 after the fallout between Cricket Club of India and Mumbai Cricket Association. The first test staged on this ground was during the West Indies’ India tour in 1974 under the captaincy of Clive Lloyd.

Wankhede stadium has the capacity of 33,108 audiences. The two ends of the stadium are named after Garware Pavillion End and Tata End. The present curator of the stadium is Sudhir Naik. It is the home ground of the Mumbai Indians team for the Indian Premier League and Mumbai Ranji Team.
